Jay Holland

Jay Holland

Senior Vice President

Over the course of his career, Jay has represented trade associations, nonprofits, small businesses, and national corporations on some of the most complex public policy issues in New York. His experience runs across legislative advocacy, state budget negotiations, procurement, economic development, energy, agriculture, hospitality, and regulatory affairs, and he has a real gift for turning complicated policy challenges into practical strategies that get results.

Before joining us, Jay spent more than a decade in New York government affairs as a contract lobbyist. Prior to that he served as Government Affairs Director for the New York State Restaurant Association, where he led advocacy efforts before the State Legislature, the Executive Chamber, state agencies, and local governments, and cut his teeth in the New York State Assembly’s communications operation and on political campaigns. These experiences have given him a rare, well-rounded view of how policy, politics, and communications intersect.

That combination is exactly what makes Jay such a valuable addition: he brings strategic counsel that goes beyond lobbying, into stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and public affairs more broadly. It’s also earned him recognition, including spots on City & State’s Albany 40 Under 40 and Upstate Power 100 lists.

Jay is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned his degree in Political Science with a minor in English while becoming a rabid Jayhawks fan. He lives and works right here in the Capital Region, where he stays actively engaged in New York’s public policy community
